I have published two books. The first
was published in 1993, and it is called Helping
Men Change: The Role of the Female Therapist. When
the woman who would become my editor heard me speak at a national
family therapy conference, she approached me saying,"
I've been looking for two years for the right woman to write
this book. If you want a contract, you've got it." Likewise,
I was approached by a publisher at Health Communications,
Inc. with the request that I write my second book, Longing
For Dad: Father Loss and Its Impact. This book
was published originally in 1998 and has since has gone into
the Chinese and Czech languages.
You can also find some of my articles on managing grief at Johnson & Johnsons' Strength for Caring website.
I am currently writing my third book
whose working title is Aging
Isn't For Sissies: Overcoming the Psychological and Spiritual
Challenges to Vital Aging. The chapter titles of
this book are:
- Introduction The Quest
- Part I The Challenges
- Chapter
1: What Tools Do You Need In Your Toolkit For This
Journey?
- Chapter
2: If This Is Normal, Why Do You feel So Empty,
Crazy, and Lost?
- Chapter
3: How Can Psychological Impasses Derail Your Progress?
- Chapter
4: What Spiritual Challenges Will You Face?
- Chapter
5: How Does a Spiritual Perspective Resolve Psychological
Impasses?
- Part II The Rewards
- Chapter
6: How Do You Want To Be Remembered?
- Chapter
7: What Rewards Await You At the End of Your Quest?
